Meet Our Team & the Carlstrom Family
As a local, family-owned Chicago sports store since 1990, the Wrigleyville Sports team of employees is the heart of the store! We are a group of Chicago sports fans, who love to help other fans find the latest licensed Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and White Sox apparel and memorabilia. You can't beat working across the street from Wrigley Field, and hearing the roar of the crowd on a game day!
The Carlstrom family has enjoyed over 30 years across the street from Wrigley Field. Originally, the store was owned and run by Arnie and Rexene Carlstrom, along with help from their son, Trey. It was originally called Super Star Sports. In 1996, they changed the name to Wrigleyville Sports, and launched the www.wrigleyvillesports.com website. As Arnie and Rexene enjoy their retirement, Trey Carlstrom now runs the business, along with the help of his sons, Devin and Colin.
Trey C.
Trey Carlstrom is the Business Owner at Wrigleyville Sports and has witnessed just about all the stages this company has gone through! His parents, Arnie and Rexene Carlstrom, were the founders of Star Promotions and first got their hands on the Wrigleyville Sports retail space in 1990. Trey has been a member of the Wrigleyville community ever since and has been key to growing this store into what we know and love it as today. He is extremely hands-on in all aspects of Wrigleyville Sports and you can often find him helping customers by the hat wall on game days!
Devin C.
Devin has been a full time Wrigleyville Sports employee since 2020, but he has been around much longer than that! As a member of the Carlstrom family, he has been helping around the store and starring in our commercials ever since he was a kid. He is currently the manager of our store across from Wrigley Field, and is one of the most familiar faces at our store! During his free time, Devin coaches youth hockey and cheers on the Blackhawks.
Colin C.
Colin is a Sales Supervisor at Wrigleyville Sports, but has been around the store for as long as he can remember! He is the youngest member of the Carlstrom family and spent a good amount of his childhood running around Wrigleyville Sports and starring in company commercials. Being surrounded by Chicago sports fans throughout his life has naturally made him a fan himself - especially of the Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs. He also loves playing hockey and golf, which you can often find him doing on his days off!
E-Commerce & Marketing Team
The Wrigleyville Sports eCommerce and Marketing team work to make it easy for you to shop with us, and to stay in touch when you aren't in the neighborhood for a ballgame. We strive to use the latest technology and features in our eCommerce site, to make it fun and easy for you to shop with us, wherever you are in the world! We love to help you learn about the latest items that are coming in daily, through our email subscriber list and social media. When you are in town for a Cubs game, you may see some of us around Wrigley Field and the store, taking photos of merchandise and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Our energetic social media team loves to interact with the fans and neighborhood, and to create content that helps you get to know the Wrigleyville Sports team and our products.
Kathy S.
Kathy has worked at Wrigleyville Sports since 2007, but has been a loyal customer since the mid-90’s. Despite living and working in Brewers and Packers territory, she was raised as a die-hard Cubs fan, by her dad! Her hobbies include watching the Cubs at Spring Training, and attending ballgames in the Wrigley Field Bleachers. You won’t see her much at our store, but she handles the programming and design of our website, along with graphic design work for our store. Her dogs, Ernie Banks and Brixen Ivy, are always by her side while she works from her Appleton, Wisconsin home.
Devon B.
Devon is our Digital Marketing Specialist and has worked on the marketing team at Wrigleyville Sports since 2019! If you receive emails from Wrigleyville Sports, you might know Devon better than you think as she is the mastermind behind all of our email marketing and paid advertisements. Devon now lives in Muskegon, Michigan but says Chicago is her absolute favorite city on the planet and lived here for 4 years when she first began her position at Wrigleyville Sports!
Bridget H.
You’ve probably seen Bridget on our social media platforms as she is one of the Social Media Assistants at Wrigleyville Sports! Bridget started her position here in August 2023 after graduating from University of Illinois where she was on the dance team and studied advertising. Bridget grew up in Arlington Heights and has forever been a Chicago sports fan, so she loves working with all of the team apparel and being right across from Wrigley Field!
Chloe R.
If you follow us on social media, Chloe might look familiar! She started working at Wrigleyville Sports as a Social Media Assistant in August 2023. She moved to Chicago after graduating Michigan State University and immediately was drawn to the Wrigleyville neighborhood and going to Cubs games! Aside from making social media content for the store, she loves jumping into Lake Michigan and finding new places to lap swim - a sport that she did through college.
RETAIL SALES STAFF
These are the friendly faces that you will see at our store across from Wrigley Field, and talk to on the phone or via email when you have questions about the store, website, products, or an order. Our retail sales staff is eager to share their love of sports with you, and to help you find the perfect gear to wear to a game, or to decorate your fan cave. They will even make a custom jersey for you while you wait, so you can wear it to the game that day! The store staff is always hard at work, helping the fans who are shopping, or putting together orders from our website to ship them out to you as quickly as possible. Our amazing staff often gets your shipment sent out for you, the same day you place your order! How is that for service!
Brendan B.
Brendan has worked at Wrigleyville Sports since March 2022 and is currently the Assistant Store Manager. Originally from Michigan, Brendan played baseball in high school, was the Oakland University basketball manager in college, and has been a huge fan of many professional sports teams - especially the Detroit Lions! You might even catch him wearing a Lions t-shirt or jersey while working (although we are trying to switch it out for our Chicago Bears apparel).
Sean D.
Sean is one of our Assistant Managers at Wrigleyville Sports and has been working here since March 2023! Originally from Springfield, Illinois, he first became a Cubs fan because of his grandmother. She was a lifelong fan and inspired Sean to pursue a sports related career, sparked his love for the Cubs, and passion for sports in general. As a business that values family above all, we absolutely love this story!
Chad G.
Chad started working at Wrigleyville Sports in August 2023 and is an Assistant Store Manager. His favorite Chicago sports team is the Bears and is a big Jay Cutler fan. Chad is originally from Illinois, but has also lived in places like Hawaii and California. Although he misses the warm weather, his new favorite beach is Montrose - trading palm trees for the Chicago skyline.
Ethan H.
Ethan has been a Sales Associate at Wrigleyville Sports since July 2022! He is a die-hard Cubs fan and can usually be found watching a game at Wrigley Field or Murphy’s on his days off. He has also worked for the Chicago Bears Game Presentation, allowing him to attend special events like the Bears gala and draft party. Ethan is definitely the go-to associate if you’re looking for some fun facts about the Bears or Cubs!
Aidan M.
Aidan started working as a Sales Associate in March 2024. Originally from Arizona, he moved to Chicago in 2023 but has been a Chicago sports fan ever since he was a kid. Taking after his dad, he specifically roots for the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks! In addition to working at Wrigleyville Sports, Aidan is also going to EMT school and training to become a first responder - a career he has always wanted to pursue.
Carson M.
Carson is one of our Sales Associates at Wrigleyville Sports and started in April of 2024. Carson is from Batavia, Illinois and his favorite Chicago sports team is the Chicago Bears. When Carson isn’t working, he loves to travel. In fact, he has visited 5 continents and backpacked all across Europe!
Nolan L.
Nolan started working as a Sales Associate at Wrigleyville Sports in April 2024. Nolan is originally from San Francisco, but moved to Chicago for college. He just wrapped up his sophomore year at DePaul University where he is studying film and is specifically interested in screenwriting! Since living and working in the Wrigleyville area, Nolan says he has become a Chicago Cubs fan (but when it comes to football he will always support the 49ers).
Sam M.
Sam became a Sales Associate at Wrigleyville Sports in April 2024! She is originally from Connecticut, but moved to Chicago for college. She just finished her sophomore year at DePaul University and is studying pre-law. So far, Sam is loving summertime in Wrigleyville - especially on game days when all the Cubs fans start arriving at the ballpark!
Laila H.
Laila started working at Wrigleyville Sports in June 2024 as a Sales Associate! She’s originally from Los Angeles, California but moved to Chicago 2 years ago to attend Loyola University. Laila is on the Loyola Lacrosse team and is studying Criminology! After graduation, she hopes to start her career in CSI or the court system. In the meantime, we will be trying to convince Laila, who is a Dodgers fan, to join the Cubbie fan base!
